RECLAIM THE VOTE! A Live Postcard Making Party

4:00 pm–6:00 pm

Join AAWAA artists and community for an afternoon of participatory arts activism! With a pivotal US election only weeks away and many reports of attempted voter suppression nationwide, AAWAA is hosting a call to action to reclaim the vote! The program will open with poets expressing their own political experiences, curated by Political Inheritance’s Lauren Ito, to inspire our collective art-making. Then, all will be invited to engage in a live artmaking session to create postcards with provided prompts. Participants are invited to paint, draw, collage, write, and more. No experience necessary! Send the postcards to friends and family and encourage others to go out and vote. We will also provide resources below where you can get addresses. Attendees are also invited to listen, gather, watch, provide words of support, and enjoy the art-making.

This is an online event.
